In June of 2014, I graduated UC - Davis with my Bachelor of Science in biological sciences with an emphasis on neurobiology, physiology, and behavior. I also earned my Bachelor of Arts in English with an emphasis on literature, criticism, and analysis. I have a high comprehension of both mathematical and literary subjects, as well as a thorough understanding of Spanish. I have tutored in elementary through college-level English, algebra, literature, and science. In addition to these, I have taught students skills to improve their studying and organization. My personal favorite subject to tutor a student in is math, primarily because there is only one single answer to a question. I believe that tutoring is most effective when there is patience and thorough communication. A student must learn the ability to think analytically while developing their knowledge of the mathematical process. When I work with a student, I engage them through encouragement and validation while guiding them in the appropriate direction. If a student is going to learn, they need to be ready and willing to do so on a schedule that works with their goals. Outside of tutoring sessions, I love everything to do with Disney, the outdoors, and traveling.
